Stylish Designs featured a post last month on the various database backup solutions when dealing with an Oracle Database. This comes up because many are used to working only with database agents in their backup process which can cause problems. Stylish Designs recommends VERITAS as an alternative when database agents aren’t enough and suggests combining the VERITAS Database Edition for Oracle with NetBackup for Oracle Advanced BLI Agent to achieve true block-level incremental backups of an Oracle database.
