Targeting Desktop Publishing Users

Linux supports Scribus which is an application aimed at desktop publishing users. It is an open-source page-layout program that can run on Windows and Mac OS X as well. It supports professional publishing features such as CMYK color, separations, ICC color management and versatile PDF creation. Scribus is a very powerful software that helps users create great looking documents of all kinds with a little help from its own enthusiastic community that eagerly assists both beginners and professionals.

In spite the fact that there are other desktop publishing applications for Linux, Scribus has presented the most viable solution to such needs due to a friendlier user interface and more features. It has helped to advance the use of font typefaces and color management on Linux.
